In 3rd of ESO students are offered three different Units of Inquiry, in which they get the opportunity to learn more about getting into and maintain good health & shape, how cooperative learning can help them reach goals in life and to develop their athletic skills, creative and critical thinking skills, and social and cooperative skills:
PHYSICAL CONDIOTING
Area of Interaction: Health and Social Education
Unit Question: What benefits does exercising have for your health and wellness?
Significant Concept1: Physical activity helps improve physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.
Significant Concept2: Healthy habits help improve the quality of your life.
Significant Concept3: Health is a process, not a product.
Assessment: Criterion A (Use of Knowledge - written test), Criterion C (Performance of strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination exercise) and Criterion D (Social Skills and Personal Engagement)

Cooperative Learning
Area of Interaction: Community and Service
Unit Question: How does cooperative learning help me reach my goals and have success in life?
Significant Concept1: Cooperation can help me become more open-minded.

Significant Concept3: Success is individual and depends on the goals that you set in life.
Assessment: Criterion A (Use of Knowledge - create and present your own cooperative game, inclusing poster, rulebook, presentation tool), Criterion C (Performance - as in game sense) and Criterion D (Social Skills and Personal Engagement)
Movement Composition
Area of Interaction: Human Ingenuity
Unit Question: What factors do you have to consider to create a movement composition?
Sigificant Concept3: The creative process includes enthusiasm, inquiry and organization.

Criterion B (Movement Composition - selection of music movements and links + written report)
Criterion C (Individual Performance - synchronicity with music and others in the group, body form and extension)

In ESO3 students are offered different sports activities per trimester:
Lacrosse & Shutteball, Hockey, Cooperative Games and Badminton
Baseball, Rugby & Dodgeball, Ultimate & Freesbee and Handball
Volleyball, Basketball, Football and Cooperative Games
Area of Interaction: Health & Social Education
Unit Question: What can I learn from doing a sport like.....?
Significant Concept: Through the learning experience of doing different sports activities, one gains more knowledge about the world´s sport culture and can make a more deliberate choice.
